Four More Markets- Make Them Count

We only have four more farmers’ markets until the end of our season, so please come on out and show our farmers and artisans some support in this final month. The new location is great and we welcome your thoughts about what we can do in the new space. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Cindy and her team. (Don’t forget you can donate to the Pescadero Country Store employee fund. Learn more here).

For the first market of October we have a good vendor line up. Blue House Farm and Fly Girl will be holding down the veggies stands. State Street Honey will be bringing the sweetness and Open Eye Creations will have her driftwood art.

Dan Newitt, one of Puente’s health promoters, will be providing the tunes at the market. Liz Gatt will be coming to take care of child activities and POST, one of our market sponsors, will have a table.

REMINDER: There is no free bike repair at the market this week.

Cuatro más- don’t miss out!

Success in New Location

New place, new feel, new potential. Our heads are buzzing with ideas for our new farmers’ market location. There’s lots of space- maybe a soccer game on the side? Stay tuned for what we come up with. More importantly- our thoughts and prayers are still with Cindy’s and her staff. We’ll continue to collect donations for them until the end of the famers’ market. (There’s only 5 more if you were wondering) Please spread the word about our new location- across from the church, a little farther down on Stage Rd (350 Stage Rd).

We’re going to have a full market this week. Lots of veggies. Our vendors will be Blue House, Fly Girl Farm, and Farmageddon. Pie Ranch will also be there. Steadfast Herbs will be bringing tinctures and Open Eye Creations will be bringing driftwood art.

The HMB Library will be coming to the market for children’s activities and they’re bringing a 3D printer! I hear it’s usually the kid’s favorite- I’m pretty excited myself. For music we have Nothing, but Fun coming down from the city to provide us some tunes. Bike repair will be at the market as usual, but it’s worth noting that Every won’t be at the market the next two weeks- so if you have a bike that needs to be fixed soon- this week is the week to do it!

5 more people. Come out and support the community! See you there.

We Love You Cindy’s

It’s been a devastating week for the South Coast. One of the hearts of Pescadero, Cindy’s, is no more due to a crippling fire. The farmers’ market crew and Puente has Cindy and her 19 employees in our thoughts and prayers.

“The market must go on!” says Airielle Love from Fly Girl Farm — and it shall!  The market crew has worked hard to figure out all the logistics to remain open this week. Our new location will be just down the road on the other side of the street at 350 Stage Rd. It’s the open lot where the market was held a few years back, directly across from the community church.  Huge thanks to stalwart community supporters Kate and Jeff Haas for the use of their space!  The plan at this point is for the market to continue at that location through the end of the season.

This week, the market will be an “in solidarity with Cindy’s” kind of market. We plan to have a book where community members can write their favorite memories at Cindy’s, an audio recorder if you’d rather speak your memory than write it, and we also will be collecting donations for all of her employees. We’d love it if the market was the place for the community to come together after such a tragedy- to lift each other up.  After all, the market owes its recent existence to Cindy and her generosity with using her space.  Thank you Cindy!

Our vendors will be Blue House Farm and Fly Girl Farm as well as State Street Honey and Open Eye Creations. Liz Gatt would be coming to provide child activities and Ziggy from Single Story View will be rocking out the new grassy lawn. Every and her bike repair station will also be present.

We hope Cindy’s gets rebuilt. We hope that Cindy and all her employees are taken care of. We hope all those who are affected are feeling supported and loved.

Come join us in continuing an important community tradition and standing alongside Cindy and her staff!

We’re with you, Cindy.

Tinctures and Pie at the Market

7 markets left Pesky people!

This week’s vendor lineup is as follows: Blue House Farm, Farmageddon, and Fly Girl Farm (melons, eggs, and flowers hooray!) We also have Finn from Steadfast Herbs coming to bring natural remedies such as tinctures, salves, and bath salts.

We have two people coming to take care of child activities. We have Pie Ranch’s Ms. Mona coming and also the HMB library bringing the button maker!

Music wise we have the Pelican Duo (Pel and Rob- locals) providing the tunes.

We also have free bike repair as always and the Puente health promoters coming to do blood pressure readings and talk about our upcoming Health Fair which is on October 2nd!

Fall is here and Dia de los Muertos will be here before you know it!

See you this Thursday !
